LinkedIn is a general professional network. StreamerPeople is specifically for screen editors with verified credits on Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and other major streaming platforms. Every editor on the platform has been individually vetted - you won't find unverified or inactive profiles here. Production companies can browse and contact editors directly without sifting through thousands of irrelevant results.

What are the membership requirements?

To apply as an editor you must: be at least 18 years old; have a public IMDb profile; have a minimum of two verified credits on approved streaming platforms; provide accurate information about your projects, roles and credits. Any accreditations listed must be genuine and you must have permission to display them.

Which streaming platforms count?

Accepted Answer

We accept credits from the world's leading streaming platforms including Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, Hulu, BBC, ITVX, Channel 4, Stan, Binge, TVNZ+, JioHotstar, Sky, Now and more. The full list is available on the application form.

How does the verification process work?

When you apply, our team individually reviews your IMDb profile and streaming credits. We may ask for additional information during the review process. Meeting the minimum credit requirement does not guarantee membership - approval is at our discretion to maintain the quality of the directory.

Who can see my profile?

Accepted Answer

Anonymous visitors and search engines see a partial preview on our public /editors directory - your first name, primary role, location, platform badges, accreditations and a blurred profile photo. Your surname, full credits, awards, IMDb link, bio and contact details stay behind the login gate. Verified production accounts can see your full profile - including show titles, awards, credits and direct messaging. You can also choose to make your full profile publicly visible from your Edit Profile page or Account Settings; when public, anyone with your personal StreamerPeople link can view your full profile, but your availability status and direct messaging remain exclusive to verified production accounts.

Can I see how my profile appears to the public?

Yes - you can view the public editor directory from your dashboard by clicking View Public Directory. This directory only shows editors who have made their profile public.

Can I pause my membership?

Accepted Answer

Yes - you can pause your profile at any time from Account Settings. When paused your profile is hidden from the directory but your account remains active. You can resume at any time.

Can I cancel my membership?

Accepted Answer

Yes - you can cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings. You will keep access until the end of your current billing period. Your profile is removed from the directory but your account and all your data is saved. You can reactivate at any time and your profile will be instantly restored.

Can I delete my account and data permanently?

Accepted Answer

Yes - if you would like your account and data permanently removed, you can delete your account from Account Settings. Your account will be soft-deleted initially and permanently removed after 30 days. During that 30-day window you can restore your account by logging back in. After 30 days all your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. For data deletion requests email privacy@streamerpeople.com.

Can I control what information is shown on my profile?

Yes - you manage your own profile and can update your credits, bio, photo, availability status and other details at any time. Availability status ("Available now" or "Available from a chosen date") is shown to verified production accounts so they can see who is free to start work - you can toggle it off at any time. You choose what to display.

What happens if I am rejected?

Accepted Answer

If your application is unsuccessful we will let you know by email. Rejected applications are retained for 12 months for fraud prevention and then deleted. You are welcome to reapply if your credits change.

Is StreamerPeople free for companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes - production accounts are completely free and always will be. You can browse the editor directory, post job listings and contact editors directly at no cost.

How do I sign up as a production account?

Accepted Answer

Visit streamerpeople.com and click Join Now to create your free production account. You will be asked to verify your email address using a 6-digit code sent immediately after signup. If your email domain is on our verified-domain list (established broadcasters, streamers and production companies), your account is approved automatically. Otherwise our team reviews your application and typically approves within one business day. If you sign up with a personal email domain (gmail.com, hotmail.com, etc.) you will also be asked to provide your LinkedIn profile URL so our team can verify who you are before approval.

How do I find an editor?

Once you have a verified production account you can privately browse the editor directory and filter by role, country, streaming platform, production type, specialist area, accreditations and more. You can also search by name and sort by who is available now or coming up free soon. Contact editors directly through the platform's messaging system - editors cannot see who has viewed their profile.

Every editor on StreamerPeople has been individually reviewed by our team. Their streaming credits have been verified against their IMDb profile and they have met our minimum credit requirements. You can trust that every editor you find on the platform has a genuine track record on the major streaming platforms.

Once you have a production account you can post job listings directly from your dashboard. Listings can be made public or kept private to verified members only.

Yes - once you have a verified production account you can message editors directly through the platform. All messages are private and secure, visible only to you and the recipient.

Your profile is private and not visible to other users on the platform. It is only shared with an editor when you initiate contact directly.
